Hey, I’m Ben Sokolovic — I’m the Head Engineer and Founder of Sokolovic Inc., a music production studio based in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Back in 2019, Sokolovic Inc. started out in Toronto as a video production company. I’ve always been drawn to creative work, and early on, music videos were my favorite thing to shoot. The energy, the music, the collaboration — I loved it. But everything changed one day at Abstract Studios in Toronto. While filming, I found myself glued to what was happening behind the mixing board. Watching the engineer, Anté, work was kind of mesmerizing — and I realized that audio was what I really wanted to do.

So in 2021, I took a three-day audio engineering workshop at Abstract, got introduced to Pro Tools, and immediately got hooked. I started mixing for free, learning everything I could, and just grinding until my mixes were sounding solid and professional.

In 2022, I packed up and moved from Toronto to Fort Lauderdale. I had the skills but no network, so it was like starting from scratch. I put myself out there — especially through platforms like Vampr — and slowly built up my client base again. Sokolovic Inc. supports me, lets me reinvest in top-tier gear, and gives the artists I work with the quality they deserve.

From video shoots to vocal chains, this whole journey has been about growth, passion, and staying locked in. I’ve been lucky to work with some insanely talented people, and I’m just getting started.

At the heart of it all, my mission is simple — to help people make great music and be a go-to resource for whatever they need to bring their sound to life.
